Shot of the Times Square Ball. I'd love to hit NYC for NYE but I have a serious fear of crowds. :(

After my mom and I took a trip to Gillette Stadium this morning to purchase Bon Jovi tickets, we decided to check out the Enchanted Village.
The Enchanted Village was originally created in 1958 by the Jordan March Company. Throughout the 1960s and into the 1970s, the Village was displayed in the Downtown Crossing Jordan Marsh store. In 1972, they decided to close the display. :(
The Enchanted Village later reopened in 1990 for it's rebirth. Eight years later in 1998, Macy's bought Jordan Marsh and did not want ANY part of keeping the Village going. It was sold to the city of Boston to be displayed at the City Hall Plaza. By 2006, they stopped displaying the Village all together. Jordan's Furniture ( no relation to Jordan Marsh) purchased the surviving pieces of the Village at an auction in May 2009. They restored the vintage collect and will be on permanent displaye in their Avon location. It brought back memories. Brought a tear to my eye. It was truly magical. They had "snow" machines that went off every few minutes. It was completely amazing. Definitely got me in the spirit...which I needed after a long terrible year. My hope is in high spirit and I am thankful I got to see it today. Please enjoy my pictures...if you are in the Boston area...please make a trip to the beloved Enchanted Village. They did an awesome job restoring it. :)
Who knew? I just baked 3 different, delish cookies in one night! Yum! In this picture there is peanut butter, sugar and snowball cookies. Mmmm

Spent the weekend in NY just to see Metallica. Waited with anticipation for 7 months for this weekend and let me tell ya it was worth the wait! We ended up taking a bus from Boston that took 4 hrs and arrived here around 11am. As we were walking to get to our hotel (hotel Pennsylvania) that is right across the street from MSG, we noticed a small line forming at the General Admission door. We quickly checked in and then ran down to wait in line. We got in line around 1pm and waited for 5 hrs til they opened the doors at 6pm. Weather was holding up til about 3pm when we noticed that the rain is getting a lil heavier. I quickly ran back to the hotel to get our Foxwoods ponchos that my mom gave to us right before we left for our journey. It started to just downpour! Tons and tons of die hard metallica fans were drenched! I kept thanking my mom for giving us those ponchos! Finally at 6pm they opened the doors. Our feet were in such pain. Because we had general admission standing room only, we had NO idea how we were going to last another 5+ hrs. But we did and it was worth it! We knew that we had to act fast once we stepped foot into the arena to stake our claim right up front next to the barricade. There was clearly 100+ people in line ahead of us, we didn't think we would be standing next to the railing! But we raced and we made it there! Front row, in front of one of their 8 mics! We were shitting ourselves! Couldn't believe that we will be getting splashed with their sweat. Lol And yes we did! We could even see their nose hairs! Metallica put on a great great show. They rocked that arena so hard. Definitely not gonna forget it. Towards the end of the night, they tossed out tons and tons of black Metallica beach balls of all different sizes. We happened to catch the biggest one! Like every rock show, the guitarist likes to toss out their guitar picks. I was able to catch 4! They seemed very nice and very generous to their fans. All in all, we survived standing the whole time of 10+ hrs! And needless to say we can't walk today! Lol This show was definitely worth the wait and agonizing pain I'll tell ya that! Hope you enjoy some of the great pictures from last night! :)
